Abstract

OBJECTIVE To investigate the characteristics of pathogens distribution and drug resistance in intensive care unit and to provide scientific references for rational use of antibiotics in clinical practice.METHODS The distribution and drug resistance of positive strains isolated from infective patients in ICU in 2009 were investigated and analyzed.RESULTS Among the 738 positive strains,493 strains of Gram negative bacteria were detected, accounted for 66.8%,among which Pseudomonas cepacia(18.1%),Acinetobacter Baumannii(12.7%),P.aeruginosa(10.2%) were the most common pathogens.138 strains of fungi was detected, accounting for 18.7%,and among which Candida albicans(11.7%) listed the first.107 strains of Gram positive bacteria accounted for 14.5%,of which Staphylococcus aureus(10.6%) was the major bacteria. The major kinds of bacteria had various levels of drug resistance, but most of them exhibited multi-drug resistance.CONCLUSION The hospital should strengthen the detection of pathogenic bacteria and the surveillance of drug resistance in ICU and enhance the management and examination of usage of antibiotics to reduce the incidence of multi-drug resistant bacteria.
