Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effects and adverse reactions of omeprazole and famotidine on peptic ulcer. Methods 68 patients with pepti c ulcer were randomly divided into 2 gyoups.Treated with omeprazole or famotidine respectively. The treated group received omeprazole 20mg,P.O,qd.The con- trast group received famotidine 20mg,P.O,Bid.Period of treatment for two groups were 4-week. Results 4-week effective rate of omeprazole group 96.0% and famotidine group 88.0% respectively. Indicating significant differences between the 2 groups (P0.05). A few of adverse reactions appeared in the omeprazole group 17.0% and less in the famotidine group12.0% (P0.05).but the adverse reactions disappeared spontaneously. Conclusion Omeprazole is still safer and more effective drug in treating pepti culcer.
