Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the genetic toxicity of tea oil. Methods:Acute oral toxicity test in mice, Ames test, micronucleus test of bone marrow PCE cell and sperm abnormality test in mice were used. Results:LD_(50) of tea oil is more than 20 mL/kgBW by the acute toxicity. The results of genetic toxicity tests are all negative, including Ames test, micronucleus test and sperm adnormality test. Conclusion:Tea oil was considered a substance with no toxicity and mutagenic activity.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
