Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To compare the cost-effectiveness of 3 therapeutic schemes in the treatment of the chronic Hepatitis B.METHODS:The medication data for the treatment of the chronic Hepatitis B were investigated, and the therapeutic schemes were divided into 3 groups:Interferon plus sophorcarpidine(Group A),Interferon plus thymopeptide(Group B) and lamivudine plus ophorcarpidine(Group C).The medication duration was 90 days for all the 3 groups. The cost-effectiveness analysis was performed using the theory of pharmacoeconomics.RESULTS:The 3 groups showed no significant differences in clinical efficacy, but significant differences in costs were noted.CONCLUSION:Group B is preferable for chronic Hepatitis B in terms of cost-effectiveness.
