Abstract
The studies of pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) demonstrated different characteristics of PK/PD of antimicrobials. The important PD parameters which could predict antibacterial efficacy were AUC 0~24 /MIC, c max /MIC, t MIC and post antibiotic effect (PAE). Moreover, these parameters have the guiding function for evaluating and improving antimicrobials efficacy, directing rational administration, and avoiding drug resistance. Conclusively, study of PK/PD is the base of rational administration of antimicrobials, and has important value on research and design of antimicrobials regimen, formulation of critical point of sensitivity, and recommendations of guideline.
