Abstract
Objective To explore the susceptibility of Candida species isolated from oral cavity to common antifungal agents among college students. Methods The broth microdilution antifungal test was used for the susceptibilities of 84 Candida strains to fluconazole, ketoconazole, fluorocytosine and amphotericin B and minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) was used for the evaluation. Results The geometric mean of susceptibility for the Candida species to the four antifungal agents were 3.175,0.07,0.272,and 0.43 mg·L-1,respectively;the resistant rates were 8.3%,9.5%,7.1%,and 8.3%,respectively.There were significant differences in resistance between Candida albicans and Candida non-albicans to ketoconazole and amphotericin B(P0.05).Three Candida species were resistant to 2 or more antifungal agents at the same time. Conclusion There exist resistant and cross resistant strains in Candida species in oral cavity among college students, especially for Candida non-albicans.
