Analysis of 54 cases infected with Candida albicans strains and drug resistance

objective To understand infectious situation of Candida albicans in Hainan Provincial People's Hospital and analyze the in vitro susceptibility of clinical isolates to antifungal drugs.Methods Clinical samples were collected and Candida albicans strains were isolated and identified.The sensitivity rates of the Candida albicans strains to 5 antifungal drugs were tested by microbroth method.Each drug’s results were recorded as minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC).These patients’medical records of Candida albicans infection were collected for statistical analysis.Results Totally 54 strains were isolated,the sensitivity rates of Candida albicans strains to fluorocytosine,amphotericin,fluconazole,itraconazole and voriconazole were 85.2%,98.1%,33.3%,22.2% and 31.5% respectively.Conclusion Candida albicans is highly sensitive to amphotericin among the five antifungal drugs.
