Abstract

Objective:To determine the levels of SOD, MDA and VE in decidua and maternal serum of patients with spontaneous abortion to explore relationship between oxidative stress and spontaneous abortion. Methods:The levels of SOD, MDA and VE in decidua and maternal serum were measured in 30 patients with spontaneous abortion and 20 normal early pregnant women by chemo-colorimetry.Results:The levels of MDA in decidua and maternal serum of patients with spontaneous abortion were significantly higher than those of normal early pregnant women (P0.05), while the levels of SOD and VE were significantly decreased (P0.05, P0.05).Conclusion:Oxidative stress is associated with spontaneous abortion.
