Abstract

Shatuo Hydropower Station is a project within the second phase of the West to East Power Transmission Project,of which the navigation facility is to be constructed synchronously with the main structure of the dam.So far as this is concerned,the hydraulic floating ship lift mainly selected for the navigation facility of the project is introduced herein,that includes the general layout of the lift,the structural designs for both the ship lift chamber and the balancing weight floating installation.It is demonstrated that the application of such a ship-lift is appropriate for the project.
