Abstract
Purpose To investigate the comprehensive value of dynamic contrast enhanced MRI in diagnosing breast lesions. Methods Eighty two patients (81 women,1 man) suspicious of breast tumors were recruited into this study to undergo dynamic contrast enhanced MRI prospectively. MRI diagnosis of these lesions were based on the morphology,enhancement mode,time signal intensity curve and the combination of the above. Results The study population consisted of 82 cases with 56 malignant tumors and 26 benign lesions. The sensitivity and specificity for detection and characterization of breast lesions based on the morphology,enhanced mode,time signal intensity curve and the combination of three parameters were 82.9% and 76.9%,70.7% and 65.4%,87.8% and 80.8%,and 92.7% and 92.3% respectively. Conclusion The dynamic contrast enhanced MRI could be of great value in diagnosing breast lesions.
