Abstract

Objective To evaluate the value of the dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging of breast lesions. Methods 21 cases with breast lesions which had undergone contrast enhanced MRI of three dimensional dynamic gradient echo sequence and time signal intensity curve were reviewed retrospectively. All cases were confirmed by the pathology. Results There were 16 cases with malignant lesions and 5 case with benign lesions.Significant difference existed in the morphological features, early enhanced rate and time-signal intensity curve pattern between malignant and benign lesion(P0.05).Conclusion Ring-enhancement of breast lesions at MR imaging is a strong indicator of malignancy.Benign and malignant breast tumors can be differentiated according to the morphology characteristic and enhancement pattern.
