Efficacy of blood perfusion combined with dialysis on acute severe toxicity

Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of combined use of hemoperfusion and hemodialysis in treatment of severe acute poisoning.Methods The clinical data of 65 patients with severe acute poisoning were retrospectively analyzed.Among 65 subjects with severe acute poisoning,26 were treated with conventional treatment,39 with both hemoperfusion and hemodialysis.Results The recovery rate,time in hospital and death rate in blood purification group demonstrated predominance compared with that of the other group.Conclusion Combined use of hemoperfusion and hemodialysis is an effective therapy for acute severe toxicity.
