Observation on Therapeutic Effect of Low-dose Omeprazole and Domperidone for Functional Dyspepsia

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of low-dose omeprazole combined with domperidone in treating functional dyspepsia (FD).Methods One hundred patients were randomly divided into two groups (each n=50).The patients in control group were given oral domperidone (10 mg t.i.d.),while the patients in observation group were given oral omeprazole (10 mg q.d.) and domperidone (10 mg t.i.d.).And both the courses of treatment lasted for 4 weeks.Results The total effective rate of observation group was 94% which was significantly superior to that of control group (76%),and there were statistically significant differences between the two groups (P0.05).The adverse reactions of both groups were mild.Conclusions The combination therapy of low-dose omeprazole and domperidone can effectively relieve the symptoms of functional dyspepsia,with obvious efficacy,security and reliability.
