Abstract

A total of 80 Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: 3 experiment groups and 1 control. The experiment groups were feed cold-resistant additive for 30d at dose of 1.0,2.5 and 5.0 g/kg. The results showed that growing and developing of rats were normal after feed additive, and increase of the body weight were quickly at high dose group in 10 day. There was no significant difference among the targets of blood in test groups and those of control group at 15 day. Significant difference were observed among many biochemical indexes of blood in high dose group and those of control group. At 30 day, The rate of LYM in WBC among test groups were higher than that of control group. But no statistical significances were got in absolute content. Other blood index were similar to that of control group. Many biochemical indexes of blood in middle dose group were increased. Organic coefficients and pathological histology of live, kidney, spleen, adrenal gland and thyroid gland were normal. Conclusion: When rats were fed cold-resistant additive at larger dose and longer time, some index appear charged, but some of they can gradually return to normal. These charges may be physiological reaction in the course of set up cold-resistant mechanism.
