Clinical Application and Nursing of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter in Patients with Parenteral Nutrition

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC) applied in patients with parenteral nutrition.Methods Forty-eight patients with PICC application were included in our study.The nursing experience and the treatment of nursing problems were summarized.Results The duration of catheter was between 3 days to 3 months.When the corresponding nursing measures adopted,no infection and other serious PICC complications were found.Conclusion The method of PICC has a broad applied prospects with simplicity,fewer complications and longer time for tuber retaining.
