Abstract

Objective To explore the feasibility of using peripherally inserted central catheterization(PICC)in pa-renteral nutrition(PN).Methods A total of 33 patients who received PICC for long-term intravenous nutrition were enrolled and observed.The common complications and their causes and management were analyzed.Result The long-term parenteral nutrition of these patients were well maintained with few complications.Conclusion PICC provides a satisfactory way for intravenous nutritional support,and professional care can extend PICC time and reduce costs.
