Effect evaluation of the clinical nursing pathway in peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC) nursing

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of the clinical nursing pathway in peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC) nursing.Methods 166 patients with PICC were divided into treatment group and control group.Clinical nursing pathway was performed in treatment group and traditional nursing in control group.The complication of PICC,patient's satisfaction and knowledge of self-care for catheter were compared.Results The complication of PICC were no different.Patient's satisfaction and knowledge of self-care for catheter were higher in treatment group(P0.05).Conclusion Nurse behavior is Standardized and satisfaction and quality of care are improved while the clinical nursing pathway is performed in peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC) nursing.
