Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression of E2F-1 and p27 in colorectal adenocarcinoma and its significance. Methods The expression of E2F-1 and p27 was detected by immunohistochemical SP method in 78 cases of colorectal adenocarcinoma,20 cases of normal colorectal mucosa and 30 cases of colorectal adenoma. Results The positive expression ratio of E2F-1 in esophageal carcinoma was much higher than that in colorectal mucosa and colorectal adenoma(P0.05) .The expression of p27 was decreased from normal colorectal mucosa, colorectal adenoma to colorectal carcinoma(P0.05) .The expression of E2F-1 and p27 was closely correlated with the tumor differentiation,TNM classification and lymph nodes metastasis(P0.05) .Conclusion E2F-1 and p27 are closely associated with colorectal adenocarcinoma, which indicates that these two proteins might be used as biological markers for colorectal adenocarcinoma.
