Analysis of irrational used of drugs of outpatient prescriptions in a university hospital

Objective To analyze the situation of irrational use of drugs and to promote rational drug use level.Methods 5334 outpatient prescriptions were randomly selected from the a university hospital were analyzed statistically.Results 7.01% of the sampled prescriptions were irrational prescriptions.The problems of irrational use of drugs were manifested as irrational in usage and dosage,choice of drugs,drug combination,incanonical prescription writing,drug abuse etc.Conclusion Only through establishing the monitoring institution of rational use of drugs and strengthening the training to the doctors and pharmacists can solve the problem of irrational use of drugs in outpatients of university hospital.
