Abstract

In a supporting electrolyte containing KH 2PO 4 K 2HPO 4 at pH 6.80, a sensitive derivative reduction peak of sparfloxacinis was observed by single-sweep oscillopolarography. The peak potential was -1.43 V(vs.SCE). The relationship between the peak current and the concentration of sparfloxacinis was linear in the range of 0.1~8.0 μmol·L -1 ( r =0.9994). The detection limit was 0.05 μmol·L -1 . The method was applied to the determination of sparfloxacinin in tablet and urine with satisfactory results. The electrochemical behavior of sparfloxacinat Hg electrode was also explored.
