On Cultural Changes of Mongolian Villagers from Name Characteristics of Mongolian——A Case Study of Yingzi Village of Yantai

The cultural fusion and acculturation between the Han and Mongolian nationality in the Mongols inhabited in villages of western part of Liaoning province are very prominent,and Yingzi village of Yantai is a Mongolian village which has hundreds of years of agriculture history.In this village,names for people of different ages show different typological features.From the old-aged group's religious and clan-based nicknames,to the co-existence between the patriarchal characteristic and the contemporary features of the middle-aged group's names,to the youngsters' names which make their individuality widely known.By comparing each group's naming customs at different time,the author tries to show the slow but profound cultural changes in this Mongolian village.
