Abstract
Objective To explore the applicability of determination of serum CA72-4、CA19-9 levels for diagnosis of gastric carcinoma. Methods Serum levels of CA72-4 and CA19-9 were determined with RIA in 175 patients with gastric carcinoma. Results With CA72-4 and CA19-9,the diagnostic sensitivity for gastric carcinoma was 45.1% and 47.4% respectively. With combined determinations of CA72-4 and CA19-9,the sensitivity was enhanced to 60.6%.The sentivity of serum CA72-4 and CA19-9 in patients with stage Ⅲ~Ⅳ gastric carcinoma was significantly higher than that in the patients with stage Ⅰ~Ⅱ gastric cancer. Conclusion Serum CA72-4 and CA19-9 determination was helpful for diagnosis of gastric carcinoma combined determination of two markers was more sensitive.
