Results in implementation of tuberculosis control program in Hainan Province.

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the TB control programme implementation and to identify the constraints and difficulties precluding the tuberculosis control. Methods The data from the project of 2001～2010 Hainan provincial tuberculosis control programme conducted in 2003 were analyzed. Results 95% of the city and county governments had developed their TB control programs.The governmental TB control funds had been offered eventually 93.0%,90.0% and 70.7% in 2001,2002 and 2003 respectively.42.7% of the suspected patients had been referred to tuberculosis control stmion by physicians in general hospital.9320 infectious TB patients had been detected from January 2001 to September 2003 accounted for 43.6% of the case finding target in the 5-year-plan(2001～2005). Conclusion It is urgent to strengthen the TB control in Hainan province.
