Abstract

In the Ming Dynasty, the stress of Running the Country was laid upon the administration of officials. Therefore, legislation was strengthened with rigorous enforcement of laws and administration of government officials, attachment of importance to laws and the punishment of corrupt officials; on the other hand, procuratorial organization was consolidated and the check-up system was improved. But the effect was not satisfactory due to the extreme imperial power, the defects of procuratorial system and official's low income.
