Study on Effect of Nursing Intervention on Quality of Life and Psychological Condition in Patients with Middle and Advanced Lung Cancer

Objective To explore the clinical application value of nursing intervention in patients with middle and advanced lung cancer.Methods One hundred and four patients with middle and advanced lung cancer hospitalized in Chinese PLA General Hospital from November 2011 to November 2012 were enrolled in this study.All patients were randomly divided into intervention group and control group(each n=52).All patients were given conventional care intervention,but the patients in intervention group received systematic care intervention additionally.The quality of life and psychological status of the patients in the two groups were compared and analyzed.Results The results of the 36-item Short-form Health Survey(SF-36) showed that the scores of quality of life in physiological function,physical function,bodily pain,general health,energy,social function,emotional function,and mental health in the patients of intervention group were significantly increased as compared with the patients in control group,and the difference was statistically significant between the two groups(P0.05).The scores of anxiety and depression in the patients of intervention group were significantly improved,there were statistically significant differences between intervention group and control group(P0.05).Conclusions Comprehensive and systematic nursing intervention as an adjuvant therapy plays a very important role in improving the quality of life in patients with middle and advanced lung cancer.It is suitable for further clinical application and popularization.
