Applied research of comprehensive nursing intervention on patients with the first onset of schizophrenia

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the impact of comprehensive nursing intervention on patients with the first onset of schizophrenia.Methods 90 patients were randomly divided into intervention group and control group(45 patients for each group).The patients were given routine drug treatment and basic psychiatric care in control group and the comprehensive nursing intervention and interventions of psychological nursing,health education and life skills were implemented in intervention group based on the treatment and nursing care as mentioned in the control group.The SAS scores and SDS scores after the nursing intervention for 4 weeks were used to evaluate subjective feelings and depression degree of patients both in intervention group and control group.After the nursing intervention for 8 weeks,the life quality of the two groups was estimated based on standard of QOL-100.Results The SAS scores and SDS scores after the nursing intervention for 4 weeks in intervention group decreased more than those in control group with a significant difference(P 0.05).The life quality after the nursing intervention for 8 weeks in intervention group improved more than that in control group with a significant difference(P 0.05).Conclusion The comprehensive nursing intervention can significantly relieve patients' anxiety-depression emotions and contribute to the recovery of schizophrenia patients. The comprehensive nursing intervention can improve clinical efficacy and life quality of the patients with the first onset of schizophrenia
