Abstract
Liu Xie's vicissitudes and Ye Xie's ZhengBianplay a prominent role in traditional Chinese poetics respectively.Liu Xie prefers to stick to coquettish classical style of writing through which current malpractices might hopefully be rectified. On the contrary,Ye Xie's ZhengBian aims at changing the rigidified wordy style.Ye Xie's ZhengBian is better for poetic creation for it allows poets to develop their imagination, which cannot be done by simply following Liu Xie's vicissitudes.Ye Xie's ZhengBian is exactly the renaissance of Confucius's poetics.
