Abstract

Objective:To study the efficacy and safety of combining Clozapine and Aripiprazole for the treatment of negative symptoms of schizophrenia.Methods:62 schizophrenia patients were randomly divided into study group and control group for 12 weeks. The study group was treated by Clozapine plue Aripiprazole, and the control group was only treated by Clozapine. The clinical effect and side effects were assessed with PANSS and TESS,and analyze the statistics of the amount of Clozapine and Desmethylclozapine in serum by the time. Results: The scores of PANSS and TESS of study group were significantly lower than those in control group at the end of the treatment, and the scores of the end of the treatment were significantly lower then before treatment. Conclusions: Combing Clozapine and Aripiprazole can obviously improve negative symptoms of schizophrenia, and fewer side effects.
