Abstract

The effects of different cadmium concentration on three Sorghum grass seed germination and seedling growth were studied by dish cultural test. The observation indices included germination potential, germination rate, germination index, the rate of radicle and germ, vigor index and patience index of forage Sorghum 23402,forage Sorghum 26837;Sorghum hybrid sudangrass 98456.The results showed that: ①There had no significant influences on the germination potential, germination rate and germination index of the forage Sorghum among different concentrations of cadmium(P0.05).It showed significant inhibitory effects on the germination index of Sorghum 98456 when treated with high concentration cadmium(30.0 mg / L)(P 0.05).Compared with the control group, high concentration cadmium(30 mg / L) treatment showed significant inhibitory effects on the rate of radicle to germ, vigor index and patience index of the three Sorghum grass.② Among the three Sorghum grass, forage Sorghum 23402 had the strongest cadmium resistance, followed by forage Sorghum 26837 and Sorghum 98456.
