Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect and safety of Huatanquyu decoction on hyperlipemia based on the differentiation of splegm and blood stagnace. Methods 140 patients were randomly divided into the treatment group (n=70), which was administreted Huatan quyu decoction and the control group (n=70) which was given epanol pill. One month was a treatment course in the both groups. The clinical curative effective rate, symptoms scores and various indexes of blood-lipid were observed before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate was 91.43% in treatment group, and 72.86% in control group. There was a significant difference between the two groups (P0.05). Compared with the control group, patients in the treatment group, the level of cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein and the symptom scores significantly reduced after treatment (P0.05), and the level of high density lipoprote significantly increased (P0.05). There was no clinical adverse reaction observed. Conclusion Huatanquyu decoction can regulate blood-lipid, improve clinical symptoms and has no toxic reaction.
