Abstract
Objective To study the effect of carvedilol on blood pressure, serum ET 1,CGRP in the patients with hypertension. Method Blood pressure, serum ET 1,CGRP concentration were measured in 60 hypertensive patients before and after carvedilol(5-10 mg Bid) for 3 months. 25 normal persons were served as control group. Results Serum ET 1 were higher and CGRP were lower in hypertensive patients than that in normal persons. After carvedilol treatment blood pressure and serum ET 1 were reduced remarkably, while CGRP concentration was increased. Conclusion Blood pressure was reduced remarkably, serum ET 1 were reduced and CGRP were increased in hypertensive patients after carvedilol treatment.
