Research on the Relationship between Land-use Change and Socio-economic Development in Shaanxi Province

Based on the data of land-use quantity and structure change and the main socio-economic development indicators on regional-scale,using correlation analysis,fitting analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis,an exploratory research that quantitatively analyzed the relationship between land use and socio-economic development in Shaanxi Province was made.The results showed that the land-use change in Shaanxi Province has promoted the improvement of socio-economic benefits,the main socio-economic development indicators are increasing in exponential and binomial curve respectively,and the results of quantitative analysis showed that the land for construction has significant relevance with the socio-economic indicators compared with other land use types,which means that the land for construction plays a crucial role in the socio-economic development,accordingly some strategies and suggestions are given for how to satisfy the construction demand of socio-economic development and to reach the rational allocation of land resources in the region.
