Abstract

[Objective]To study antioxidant effects of LC,and investigate the effect of LC on SOD,GSH-PX,CAT,T-AOC and MDA in the blood, brain tissue and CSF of rabbit.[Method]A single dose of 1 ml / kg LC was taken orally to New Zealand rabbits with big ears. The plasma, brain tissue and CSF samples were taken and measured before and after administration respectively.[Result] After LC administration,SOD,GSH-PX CAT,and T-AOC activity in blood, brain tissue and cerebrospinal fluid significantly increased(P 0.05),while MDA significantly decreased(P 0.05).[Conclusion]LC shows antioxidant effects in rabbit.
