Abstract
The Late Qing Dynasty is the beginning period of Chinese library.With more survey of public libraries in Western countries,it becomes a common goal for many political and academic communities;meanwhile,with great imputing of Western books,many Chinese books are lost,how to reserve newly coming and traditional books make it necessary to found a large-sized public library.Hence,these two reasons develop the idea of library in the Late Qing Dynasty.
