Abstract
Institutions of higher learning of application-oriented undergraduate have positioned in cultivating the advanced engineering application-oriented talents who are directly relevant to the market and industrial production, which sets a higher requirement for the cultivation of the students' quality in specialty and the curriculum system. In order to cultivate the students' ability, especially their study ability, social practice ability, technological application ability and innovation ability, the authors have done much research and practice concerning the content of courses, the teaching methods and measures for mechanical specialty, aiming at the cultivation of application-oriented and innovation talents. The authors also explore the measures for quality control in teaching and learning and put them into effect.
