“Danshen Injection” plus Prednisone for Nephrotic Syndrome

Abstract

Objective:To assess the efficacy of Danshen Injection combined with prednisone for nephrotic syndrome(NS).Methods:Sixty patients with NS were randomized into two groups.Thirty patients in control group were treated with full dosage of prednisone and conventional therapy,thirty patients in treatment group received full dosage of prednisone,conventional therapy and intravenous Danshen Injection.Urine routine test,blood fat and 24-hour urine protein were detected.Results:24-hour urine protein in patients of both groups were all decreased;total effective rate was 93.3% in treatment group and 75.0% in control group.As compared with control group,blood fat,hemorheology and renal function in treatment group were improved significantly(P 0.05).Conclusion:Danshen Injection combined with prednisone may improve NS.
