Abstract
The numerical simulation and optimization of flow field in tundish was studied based on finite element analysis software FLUENT.The results indicate that setting flow control devices can obviously improve flow situation of molten steel,and can enhance quality of continuous cast-rolling strip.Several different of weir-dams arrangement in the flow control devices are compared,when the distance is 800 mm from the weir to the gate of inlet flow,the space between weir and dam is 400 mm and the heights of weir and dam are 550 mm and 350 mm,the purification efficiency of molten steel is best.
