Abstract
The distance between weir, dam and steel ladle nozzle, and the height of weir and dam in the slab tundish of Jiugang company were studied by numerical simulation method. According to the results, the tundish structure and flow field were optimized. The inclusions content of the continuous cast slab in second steelmaking factory was decreased to 0. 5 % , and the metallurgical function of the tundish was improved greatly.
