Analysis of the Effect of AIDS Health Education for Transient Population in the Community of Mudan District in Heze City

Abstract

[Objective]To explore the effects of health education on AIDS preventive knowledge for transient population in the community.[Methods]One community was selected in Mudan district,Heze from January to March 2009,health education on AIDS prevention knowledge was conducted for temporary residents,the awareness rate of AIDS related knowledge was investigated before and after the education.[Results]Of the 232 and 181 persons investigated before and after health education.The awareness rate of 9 items of AIDS related knowledge was 64.89% before health education,and 96.50% after health education respectively(P0.01).The awareness rate of AIDS related knowledge was higher after education than that before education(P0.01).[Conclusion]The awareness rate of AIDS related knowledge was increased after health education in the community for transient population in a short time.
