Analysis of the Effect of Health Education for AIDS Prevention in 5 Different Places in Xintai City

[Objective]To evaluate the effect of health education for AIDS prevention in community,villages,families,schools and key places,provide evidence for the improvement of health education.[Methods]The awareness rate of AIDS related knowledge before and after health education among different population was compared and analyzed from 2005 to 2008.[Results]The awareness rate of AIDS related knowledge increased from 32.45% to 71.01% among the people aged from 15 to 24,from 34.55% to 63.27% among the people aged from 25 to 49,from 22.17% to 65.22% in middle school student,from 39.36% to 80.40% in sex-services,from 20.00% to 9/9 among HIV infected persons and AIDS patients.[Conclusion]The awareness rate of AIDS related knowledge increased obviously among different population after the implementation of the program of health education in the target 5 places.
