Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of CD133 and estrogen receptor(ER) in occurrence and development of endometrial carcinoma.Methods The expression of CD133 and ER were detected in 75 specimens of surgical ablation from patients with endometrial adenocarcinoma(tumor group),30 specimens from patients with endometrial hyperplasia(proliferation group) and 10 specimens from normal proliferative endometrial tissue(normal group) by immunocytochemisory(SP),the relationship between their expressions and tumor differentiation were analyzed.Results In tumor group,the positive rate of CD133 expression was significantly higher than that in proliferation group and normal group,while the positive rate of ER expression was lower obviously(all P0.01).The expression of CD133 and ER were significantly correlated with degree of differentiation of endometrial carcinoma,there was a negative correlation between the expression of CD133 and ER.Conclusion The ectopic expressions of CD133 and ER may play an important role in the carcinogenesis and progression of endometrioid adenocarcinoma.
