Metaphor is a figure of speech and is also closely related to the physical experience.The paper studies the conceptual metaphors of eating in Chinese and English from the perspective of embodied philosophy,the foundation of cognitive linguistics.The embodied traits of such concepts help support the view that metaphor has embodied traits.
