Abstract
objective To evaluate the significance of expression of nm23 H 1 and p16 gene in gallbladder carcinoma. Methods 58 cases including 42 cases of gallbladder carcinoma and 16 cases of benign gallbladder diseases were analyzed for protein expression of nm23 H 1 and p16 gene by immunohistochemistry. Results The positive rate of nm23 H 1 and p16 was 40 5% and 47 6%,which was markedly lower than that in benign diseases and was positively correlated to clinic stage, metastasis and prognosis. Conclusions The detection of the expression of nm23 H 1 and p16 can act as an indicator for metastasis and prognosis in gallbladder carcinoma
