Abstract
In this paper, three kinds of the front wheel brake drum of a medium duty truck are set up. Heat structural coupling analysis under mehanical and temperature load is analyzed by using the powerful software ANSYS. Heat transfer, structural and coupling analysis are completed to illustrate the influence of the distribution of temperature, the deformation and the thermal stress of the brake drum in different cooling fins and under various loads.
