Abstract
At present there are some shortcomings existing in teaching training patterns in public security institutes that affect the overall quality of the graduates. The shortcomings are: teaching materials far from uniting the theory with practice, pragmatism being weak, teaching method primitive, simulated training close to real fighting wanting and students’ hand ability weak etc. To train practical police staff that can meet the need of new times, we should make a study of advanced teaching patterns both at home and abroad and absorb the advanced, strengthening the scene-simulated training so that we can gain pragmatic staff that will satisfy the present demand of the public security work.
