Investigation of combined therapy of Chinese and Western medicine on chronic heart failure

Objective To investigate the effect of Shanmai injection combined with isosorbide dinitrate injection and Wenyangbaoxin decoction on cardiac function of patients with chronic heart failure.Methods 72 cases of chronic heart failure were randomly divided into two groups.Control group(n=36) received conventional therapy.Treatment group received Shenmai injection,isosorbide dinitrate injection,Wenyangbaoxin decoction and conventional therapy.The therapeutic course was fourteen days in two groups.The effective rate of congestive heart failure and cardiac function were evaluated after two courses.Results The effective rate of congestive heart failure and cardiac function in treatment group(91.67%,88.89%) were higher than those in control group after(66.67%,69.44%,P0.05).LVEF and E/A after treatment were obviously increased as compared with those before treatment in two groups(P0.01).There was significant difference between two groups on LVEF and E/A(P0.05).Conclusion Shanmai injection combined with isosorbide dinitrate injection and Wenyangbaoxin decoction can improve clinical symptoms and cardiac function of patients with chronic heart failure and enhance life quanlity.
