Recent Development of Acupuncture Treatment for Men's Infertility

An overview of traditional Chinese medical documents in the recent decade reveals there has been some progress in the study of acupuncture treatment for men's infertility. This paper discusses mainly the acupuncture therapy, combined usage of acupuncture and medication, and point injection. Acupuncture treatment is simple with little side effect, showing the advantage of such treatment for difficult and complex diseases. Yet there is weakness in terms of basic theory. Therefore efforts should be made to strengthen clinical study as well as the study of the basic theory so that acupuncture therapy will serve sterile patients better.
