Regional economy of Jiangsu shows a staged difference from its south to north,especially great backwardness of the latter compared with the south.In essence,the divide results from regional advantage and basis of regional economy these key factors,also involving regional culture,traditional concept and thinking set.To accelerate a fast and cooperative development in economy between central and northern Jiangsu,we should start from local conditions,take advantage of local resources and integrate them,and undertake a comprehensive development under unified planning,exploring a new approach to developing regional economy.
