Abstract
Objective To study the expression and significance of Ki 67 and ezrin in endometrium carcinoma. Methods The expression of Ki 67 and ezrin was detected by immunohistochemical method in endometrium carcinoma, non typical hyperplasia, endometrium hyperplasia and normal endometrium; the expression of Ki 67 and ezrin mRNA was detected by reverse polymerase chain reaction(RT PCR). Results The Ki 67 index is much higher in endometrium carcinoma(39.9±6.4), non-typical hyperplasia(18.9±14.7) and endometrium hyperplasia(18.6±15.3) than that in normal endometrium(1.1±1.67,P0 05). The ezrin expression in normal endometrium and hyperplasia endometrium was concentrated on cell membrane, and in non typical hyperplasia and endometrium carcinoma was stained in cell plasma in a scattered manner. The expression of Ki 67 mRNA in endometrium carcinoma (0.6075±0.0887) was higher than that in normal endometrium (0.3532±0.1267). Conclusion The overexpression of Ki 67 might be involved in the tumorigenesis and malignancy of endometrium carcinoma, the different staining site of ezrin may be useful for distinguishing the benign and malignancy of endometrium lesions.
