Abstract
By quantifying the biological productive land area,the ecological footprint model evaluates the effect of human activities on the ecological system and then makes sure whether the ecological surplus of a region.The ecological footprint of Henan province in 2004 was calculated and analyzed in this paper.The results show that the ecological footprint is 2.700 082(hm2/cap) and the ecological carrying capacity is 0.810 903(hm2/cap) and the ecological deficit is 1.889 179(hm2/cap).Henan province is in an unsustainable development situation.
